Wow what a story. I knew your family and I was following your artistic talents for many years. You are absolutely right about what goes on in the workplace. The best advice I can give any young person who has similar experiences as you did is simple “they don’t deserve you” it is their loss, not yours. Move on to the next and the next. Easier said than done. This is where self belief and confidence knowing that you are good at what you do, passionate, committed, excited, enthusiastic, bubbly etc is on display in full colour. Of course this comes with experience. Well you are an achiever in every sense of the word. Truly one of a kind, if only those HR bosses knew what they were missing out on. Great story. Keep writing.
